NAM2 monitors Tx, but not Rx, on Span ports

NAM2 with 3.3(1) & Patch 1 (maintenance 2.1(1)) in a 6500 13 slot (IOS 12.1(19)E1a.)

Recently installed. On a SPAN port (to a device, or Trunk to another switch) it monitors Tx, but says there is no RX traffic. On an Etherchannel, it monitors both directions.

Any suggestions/ideas?

(it was doing this with NAM2 v3.1, so I upgraded it to 3.3)

Have you spanned the source in both directions?. Does this happen for every span source?

Tried it with Both directions onto one NAM interface. Traffic looked wrong. Tried TX onto one NAM interface & RX to the other. Traffic only registered on TX.

Tried reversing Tx and RX to opposite NAM interfaces. No difference.

Tried a couple of different source ports with devices (therefore only belong to one VLAN). Same thing.

Tried a Trunk Port (all VLANs, to another switch). Same thing.

Tried a Etherchannel (6 ports bonded, to another 6513. All VLANs). Traffic registered for both TX and RX.

It SEEMS to be the SPAN that does not work, rather than the NAM.

Then this is not a problem with the NAM itself.
