Nested class map on IOS XE 16.6.5

Hello,

I´m trying to migrate a setup from a

2851 running IOS Version 12

to a

9300 running IOS XE 16.6.5

On the old router there are some rules applied by nested class maps:

class-map match-all parent_map
 match class-map child_map
 match not access-group 110

On the new system, this seems to not be supported?

Or am I missing some way to activate it?

Is there a way to replicate the behavior?

Thank you very much and best Regards,

  Wolfgang

Hello,

on the 9300, in Everest (16.5) you can only match on:

DSCP

IP precedence

CoS

QoS-group

ACL

See the link below for reference (scroll to Table 1.

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/switches/lan/catalyst9300/software/release/16-5/configuration_guide/qos/b_165_qos_9300_cg/b_165_qos_9300_9500_cg_chapter_01.html#concept_zph_3kl_sfb

Post the original policy, it might be possible to combine everything in a single ACL...

To OP, in you're wondering why the 9300 has more limited QoS, it's because it's a L3 switch while the 2851 is an ISR. The latter can do pretty much whatever it wants in software, but the former uses hardware for its features, and that hardware is often much more limited in what it can support.
