Hi Guys,

UCS C220 supports only a single dualport  P81E nic card due to limited availability of pcie slots, Is dual port NIC card has same reliability as dual NIC card or what is the chance or probability of failure of NIC cards. HA being  my important goal should I choose a different chasis.

Well dual ports of one card is less redundant from dual ports from different cards from HW point of view
If you are concerned about thus pick a chassis of ucs c that has the built-in nic card and additional slot where you can order another nic card too for higher HW redundancy

Hope this help

If you have dual port nic U can configure software redundancy on the esxi nic teaming
However from hardware point of view your using one nic module
