No xmodem command in RP mode on 6509

I am trying to recover a 6509 (sup1 mfsc2) in native mode. I am getting the same output as per website http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/473/14.shtml when I get to step 6 where I have to xmodem the bootloader file onto the flash (of the RP) it says to use "rommon 1 > xmodem -s9600 -c" but there in no xmodem command and I can't get the bootloader onto the flash and the 6509 will not boot. I can boot into CatOS alright

Type in "reset" at the rommon prompt and try again.
