PA-T3+ Interface

Can anyone tell me the difference between the PA-T3 and the PA-T3+ Interfaces? Seems to be related to the DSU's but I can't quite determine for sure.

The PA-T3+ allows to allocate only a subrate to the link along with the Kentrox DSU (dsu bandwidth xxxxxx, dsu mode 1). It also supports scrambling on those subrate links. The PA-T3 did not support this configuration.

Any reason why the T3+ seems to be significantly cheaper? Just newer and cheaper to manufacture...
