Physically linking SPAN port to UCS-B

Hey guys,

We just purchased Alien Vault and are looking to ingest some network data. We have a SPAN port set up on the core switch (4507) and want to forward it to the UCS-B chassis. Is it possible to do this physically with a cable interlinking the two? Or does it have to be logically mapped via RSPAN (which we cannot do as the firmware has not been upgraded for years on the core switch).

Thanks for looking and I really appreciate any feedback.

We are in almost the exact same situation, did you ever find a resolution?

As far as I know it's still not supported to send monitoring traffic to a UCS B Chassis. see this Cisco request CSCtr80980.
