POE extenders for wireless

I have a park area that requires POE cameras for security and wireless coverage.  It is an outdoor park and the distances in some places exceed 100M.  I was looking at POE extenders, but have read the Cisco switches have an issue allowing the extenders due to time delays.  Anyone have any knowledge?

May not work.  This is because mid-span PoE is still limited by 100 metres standard.  And, here's the kicker, extending the range doesn't mean you've extended Layer 2.  If you go beyond 100 metres, with or without mid-span PoE, then you can be guaranteed your link may operate in 10 Mbps, half duplex.

If you want to extend the distance covered, then run a 90-metre copper run to the central location and install a PoE switch there.  Take note, that the cable run is made out of COPPER.  This means that if lightning strike on the switch won't just damage the switch but anything connected to this switch using copper.  One way out is to use fibre optic run to span the distance so the surge of the current will not go back to the core.
