Hi,
If you span with source as a gig port and destination as a fastethernet port, then you'll see output drops or out-discards on the destination port. You should not see any tracebacks, cpu hog or crash.

Hi Alok,
Thanks for your answer.
Even if on interface GIGA (source), there is many traffic?

Hi Christophe,
if there is a lot of traffic on the source gig port, it will cause the destination spanport to experience a lot of drops. Span is done in hardware, hence it will not cause cpu hogs or any tracebacks. if it does, then please let us know.
Thanks
