Hello
Is there a simpler way to allow only IP Traffic on a serial link instead of applying access-lists of each protocol which sould be denyed?

If you don't enable routing or bridging of other protocols on the serial then the router will not send them out that interface. For example, if you are routing IPX on the router do not put a ipx network address on the serial. If you are bridging on the router, do not add a bridge group to the serial. The router will only forward protocols out an interface for which it is configured. Other than that, access-lists are the only way to control what type of frames should leave or enter the router via an interface.
