Question about increasing amount of inside hosts and VLAN's allowed on an ASA 5505

Hello,  the person who previously handled this for my company retired so I was just wondering who I should contact or speak with to increase the amount of Inside Hosts and VLAN's allowed for an ASA 5505.   I know it has something to do with the device license but do not konw how to go about upgrading it.   Any hints would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,

By default the ASA 5505 comes with the base license which restricts you to only 2 VLAN interfaces and a third one restricted (can only send traffic to one other interface) plus you have the inside hosts limitation of 10 users.

You will need to get the Security Plus License in order to remove these restrictions!

License Part ID: ASA5505-SEC-BUN-K9

Thank you for the information.   Would you happen to know who I can contact or where to go to purchase this license?   I tried speaking with several people from Cisco on the phone and through chat and no one seemed to have a clue how I would proceed to purchase this upgraded license,  the most helpful thing I got from them was that someone would call me back in 4 - 5 days which just doesn't sound right to me.

Hello,

you can purchase the license from a cisco partner.

ASA5505-UL-BUN-K9 is a new appliance, which is not needed.

ASA5505-SW-UL is unlimitied user software license
