Hi,
I want to upgrade an AS5200 in order to allow Microsoft callback with RADIUS attribute 19. From Cisco documentation I have understood that I need at least version 12.1(7) of IOS. When doing the upgrade I would also like to upgrade the MICA modem firmware.
From what I can understand the latest versions for the AS5200 is IOS 12.1.19 and firmware 2.9.4.0. Are these the recommended versions and are there any special things to consider before upgrading? Is the modem firmware bundled in the IOS or does it have to be installed separately?
We are currently running IOS 12.0.7(T) and MICA firmware 2.5.1.0.
Thanks in advance!
Regards,
Harald

Yes, 12.1.19 is the latest release on the as5200 platform....MICA portware 2940 is not bundles with it, however you can flash 2940 seperately.

Hi again,
I am planning to do the upgrade of the software and modem code tonight.
When I looked at the release notes for the Mica modem portware, it seems that the latest version to support the AS5200 is 2.7.3.0 (and not 2.9.4.0).
Is this correct and can I use 2.7.3.0 together with IOS 12.1.19?
Also, should I upgrade the IOS first and then the modem code?
Thanks again!
Regards,
Harald
