I want to restrict the multicast entering my LAN
( I 'm not using any multicast applications). I don't want to receive the multicasts intended for the routers also. ( The setup is a 100% cisco site, with switches and routers)

If you just want to stop the router advertisements
make the interfaces passive for your routing protocol.
