Router 1600

Hi all ,

i tried to configure router 1601. i connect to console and change all setting .. when router boot on the last step give me following error :

Tranceiver Problem??

Can any advice me ??

does the error message look like this ?

1d12h: %QUICC_ETHER-1-LOSTCARR: Unit 0, lost carrier. Transceiver problem?

This is normal and just means that there is nothing connected to your Ethernet port.

:) good, but why i can't access to privlege mode.? and if this msg apear on screen and i press enter it's back again ?? am sorry for this question ..

Hello,

regardless of the message, you cannot type ´enable´ at the ´Router>´ prompt ? Can you post what you see on your screen ?
