We recently updated community strings on our devices. We also updated CiscoWorks with the new community strings under Server Configuration -> ANI Server Admin -> SNMP Settings. We also updated the community strings in RME for each device.
Everything is showing up nice and green in Topology Services - and the attributes check out fine in RME. However, we are receiving a lot of SNMP Authentication Failure Traps in Openview with the culprit listed as CiscoWorks.
Is there somewhere else I have to change the SNMP information in CiscoWorks?

Change Device Attributes is the place to update the device credentials in RME (CW2K). After you do it, do an Export to File to make sure that the values have reflect the new ones correctly. Then monitor to see if you still get the SNMP Authentication failure traps or not.

I already indicated that we changed the community strings in RME and verified them as being OK. Any other places to check?

Did you used Check Device Attributes to verify that the credentials are correct?. If so, then this is flaky unless export to file shows the same. If so, then a sniffer trace would confirm what strings are being used by RME even after a change.
