SRE-900 - Is there Windows 7 support

Hi All,

Can anyone tell me if we can support Windows 7 professional and above on the Cisco SRE-700 and 900 modules?

Any help would be appreciated.

What do you mean by that? SRE supports pre-approved Cisco software, like CUE, IDS and few others.

We can build VMware Machines like Windows 2008 R2 (supported on this platform) but wanted to know if Windows 7 is supported. I suspect it is and will build a VMWARE instance with Windows 7 ISO and test.

Sorry, I don't know about custom application development on the SRE, hope it will work for you.

Win 7 has not gone through WHQL certification however like you mentioned it may run on SRE as a virtual machine using VMware ESXi hypervisor / SRE-V technology.
