Every Tuesday we cover a Borderless Networks topic that is outside of the current discussions.
I found this interesting case study on WAN Optimization used to help the Peace Corps improve communication speed. I thought this was an especially good example since the Peace Corps is so often working in sub-par internet speed locations.
They used our Cisco WAN gear to:
Accelerate file transfers by up to 20 times
Decrease bandwidth use by 50% and email bandwidth by 75%
Saved $185,315 in one year by optimizing existing bandwidth instead of buying more bandwidth—BIG DEAL
Have you been looking at your WAN technologies lately? You guys want to hear more on this?
