Hi,

does cisco have a specific device as a terminal server or one has to improvise..? what are the ideal point products to use when improvising..?

you can use a 2900 with an some Async modules. Eg SM-32A,HWIC-16A

We have over 1,000 of them deployed and they work very well for out of band access
