How do I enable trunking

Sw(config-if)# switchport trunk encapsulation dot1q

Sw(config-if)# switchport mode trunk

I think in this case it is better to configure port 1-2 on each switch in same port-channel

I figured switchport mode trunk would be there somewhere. Do you think any channel group commands should be added to it? Or Switchport mode dynamic desirable?

In your topology if you do not use channel-group then one of the ports will be blocked by STP.
