Hi,

Can the two 2 10/100/1000Base-T ports on a WS-C2950T-24 be used to connect a server in teaming on instead of using it as uplink ports ?

These switch will be used standalone at an SMB customer.

Regards,

Kristine

Hello Kristine,

certainly they can be used for your purpose. The only reason they are usually used as uplink ports is because they are capable of Gigabit speeds, as compared to the other 24 10/100 ports. But it does not matter what you connect to the ports, in the end they are just switchports.
