What means this error message ? SCHAN ERROR INTR: ...

Hello,

10 minutes after the installation of a new 2950-24 with IOS

12.1(11)EA,we got this error message :

SCHAN ERROR INTR: unit=0 SRC=6 DST=5

OPCODE=20 ERRCODE=5

We loose all network connections,all traffics. After reboot + 10 Minutes ,

same message.

What means this message?

Sounds like you a bug or this could be faulty H/W. The error msg poins to a faulty ASIC.. So you have two choices replace the box or try and recover by upgrading IOS.. I would suggest the H/W replacement.

Alternate: post a " sh tech" or "sh post"

We have already changed the box (but it wasn't the same error : here is the log of the first defected switch)

I think we receive a switch with h/w failure. We will replace the box again.

Now the customer use a spare switch : no problem.
