I am in the process of configuring a BRI interface on a 1600 router. I have looked at sample configs, some of which show the IP address on the actual BRI interface and some show it on the dialer interface.
This router will be connected to an ISP for browsing and to tunnel back to a PIX at another location.
On which interface do I put the IP address given to me by the IP?...

This would really depend on how you are setting this up in the router.
For Legacy DDR you can put the ip on the BRI
For Dialer Profiles you'd put this address on a Dialer.
Here's a link that shows most of the types of configurations and what is needed.
Hope this helps you,
Don

I think, in your case, you dont really need a dialer interface, unless you plan to use each channel ( 2 channels on BRI), one for ISP connection and the other for the Tunnel connection to PIX.
IF so, you can directly configure the IP add on the BRI interface.

Thank you. I see no need to put it on the dialer because we certainly are using both B channels for 128...
