1721 router+4esw WIC+IOS firewall

Hi,

I've a 1721 cisco router(192.168.157.254) with a 4port10/100 wic installed.

Is possible to filter using IOS firewall if wic address and lan address are similar? I know that is they have diferent ip addresses is possible, but if they are in the same LAN?

For example:

A server(192.168.157.10) connected directly to the router's wic FILTER and out using LAN interface.

Is possible?

Yes, the IOS firewall can filter out even if the LAN and wic addresses are similar. Following link may help you
