600-199 - Cisco Cybersecurity Specialist

I am currently a CCNP but my cert expires this year. Will taking exam 600-199 - Cisco Cybersecurity Specialist, renew my current certs?

I believe I read that any 300 level course, or higher, will renew my current certs

I don't think that SCYBER recertifies any P-level certification.

1. When I wrote SCYBER last year, there was no recertification mentioned on my tracking-system.
2. SCYBER is a specialist certification and not a professional level certification.
3. The recertification-page only mentions 642-/300-level and above exams.

That doesn't mean that you shouldn't prepare for the exam, the topics are very interesting and important for any network- and security administrator. But I'm pretty confident that it won't recertify you.

You watch though, its just my luck next year it will recertify a CCNP level!
