All,
This is a pretty easy question, but something that I can't seem to locate. I need to know whether the Cisco 3524XL and 3548XL switches support 802.1x. I don't think they do. Also, I was trying to locate info on 2948G series switches, and I found something in regards to it supporting 802.1x, if they are using Cat OS 7.6(1), but this is if they are using the 6500 series feature, not the 4000 series feature. If someone who has researched this before could provide some good links for information, I would greatly appreciate it!
Thanks,
Matt

The 35xxXL's were discontinued a couple years ago and have not had much for feature addition as a result. They do not support 802.1.x. There was a bug fix release in January, IIRC, that added no new features.

Kind of what I had thought...I saw they reached EOL, and the supported IOS's didn't have the capable features added.
Thanks for my Confirmation!

3524-XL and 3548-XL switches do NOT support 802.1x.
2948G is a CatOS-based platform. It has the support of 802.1x. For IOS-based switches, you need to consider Sup2+ and above for a 4500.
Hope this helps.
