Adding Routes to the PIX

Hello,

I have been told I need to add some routes to the PIX to allow some IP addresses to pass traffic. When I try to add the route the PIX says "cannot add route entry" Below is a sample route I am trying to add. Can anyone tell me what might be wrong?

route BiznezzINTF 2xx.1xx.1xx.xx 255.255.255.255 10.0.10.175

This is the exact command I am trying to enter (with a real public IP address of course. I know that much!)

All repliess will be rated.

Are you trying to add route statements or static translation statements. A route statement tells the pix how to get to a specific network.

If you are trying to allow specific inside addresses to be allowed outside you need to use access-list and NAT statements.

I've attached a few websites for each scenario to try to help you out. If you need more help please let me know.

"route BiznezzINTF 2xx.1xx.1xx.xx 255.255.255.255 10.0.10.175"

verify the interface name BiznezzINTF. i was thinking the the 10.0.10.175 has to be on the same range of the pix connected interface, however, it's not the case as i tested it with both v6.x and v7. so the only thing i can think of is the interface name.
