We recently updated the ASDM image on our firewalls from 7.14(1)48, to 7.17(1)152
On our remote session host (basically a jumpbox) when the update took place we could no longer open ASDM, we get a JNI error.
We have also tried to uninstall ASDM from the jumpbox servers and reinstall with the same result.
This has happened on more than one jumpbox, but also, most of the company uses these jumpboxes daily...it could be that some resource was in use, but only myself and one other person uses ASDM, so I am not sure what or who could cause this type of issue.
The session hosts do have OracleJava v17 installed, I would hope that would not interfere, but stranger things have happened.
Anyone else seen this when updating ASDM?

I had this problem too. I found that there was an old version of JRE in this folder after the ASDM upgrade:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Cisco Systems\ASDM\jre.
I uninstalled ASDM then deleted the folder above before re-installing ASDM and my issue was resolved.

Thankyou, Thankyou, Thankyou!
This fixed the issue for me after trying to upgrade the OpenJRE ASDM from v1.9.00 to v1.9(2)
