bi-directional NAT on Pix501

I am trying to get bi-directional NAT working with static entries. For inbound access I have for example:

static (inside,outside) 199.195.50.14 10.1.1.14 netmask 255.255.255.255

This allows the local inside address of 10.1.1.14 appear to the outside(internet) as 199.195.50.14.

My question is it possible for 10.1.1.14 to be able to exit the outside interface on to the internet with that same address of 199.195.50.14?

what is your question agai??

You said that 10.1.1.14 appears as 199.195.50.14 on the outside.

Now you are asking the question you already answered!

May be there is some typo? Could you recheck and explain again

Sorry Nadeem,

I am really just looking for a sanity check.

What i am trying to ask is this static entry good for inbound and outbound access?

10.1.1.14 -> 199.195.50.14 going out

199.195.50.14 -> 10.1.1.14 coming in

I guess what I am asking is will this statement suffice for bi-directional NAT?

static (inside,outside) 199.195.50.14 10.1.1.14 netmask 255.255.255.255

Yes, the same static will be used for bi-directional traffic.

Thanks

Nadeem
