Cisco 880 NPE how to change license?

Hello,

i have cisco 880 with NPE licence, but i need encryption on this device. I change IOS to c880data-universalk9-mz.151-3.T1.bin, but i still have NPE License and only Evalution without NPE. How  can i have permanent license?

Download the filename with the "k9" in it.  This means the IOS will support crypto.

yes, thank you. but it does not work for IOS 15.X.

is it possible with IOS 15?

you need new license file from Cisco for advipservices (Cisco 897VA comes with advipservices by default)

send the below details to Cisco licensing team and request for new licese file

Router#show license udi   

Once you have the new lic file from Cisco - copy it to router flash and type below command to active it

Router#license install flash:.lic

Installing licenses from "flash:.lic"

Installing...Feature:advipservices...Successful:Supported

1/1 licenses were successfully installed

0/1 licenses were existing licenses

0/1 licenses were failed to install

Router#

once done - reload the router.
