cisco ios - windows 2003 IAS - pptp with mppe

Hi Pros,

lets do it short:

pix as nas for pptp with mppe (windows XP) working as a radius client to w2003 IAS worked fine.

After change to 2821 ios mppe was no longer possible: "mppe not negotiated"...

read a lot of threads on the same problem, spent a couple of hours:

It works with mppe and local authentication

It works without mppe and radius authentication

I want to have it both ...

I would like to have hints from working solutions.

You need to have corresponding configuration on the RADIUS server to support Microsoft MPPE encryption. For an example, see the following URL.
