Connection & Embryonic Limit

Are there any standards for setting these figures? The servers are domain controllers, web servers, mail, and file & print.

Every network is different. So it is impossible to have a “standard”. You need to due a baseline of your network. Take a good look at the Embryonic and connections for each translation. Just make sure you don’t set the limit to low (this will stop valid traffic as you already know). I recommend setting both of them high then gradually lowering them...
