Error adding 3.0 sensor to idsmc 1.1

IDSMC is up to 4.0-2-S46 and the sensor is 3.0 and should be around 45. I applied the newest idsmc patch. When trying to add this sensor BACK to the mc after removing it, i get the following error:

An error occurred while trying to save the signature settings as an XML element.

Any ideas?

Have you also applied the IDS-sig-3.1-3-S46.zip or IDS-sig-3.1-3-S45.zip update to IDS MC? I do not think the 4.0.2s46 includes the 3.x information needed to support the 3.1.3S45/S46 sensors.

That sensor isn't up to s46 but i'll try updating mc to 3.1s46. After checking the audit log, there is an error concerning signature 5322 (long http request). The log events in order are:

xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx: Importing config files started at Jun 11, 2003 8:01:26 PM

sensorname: Successfully imported configuration files from the sensor

sensorname: Importing config files finished at Jun 11, 2003 8:01:57 PM

The sensor sensorname has been added to the system.

Changes for Sensor sensorname saved and lock released.

An exception occurred while saving the General Signature with the id of 5322 .

An error occurred while trying to save the signature settings as an XML element.

An error occurred while trying to save the General signatures.

The sensor sensorname has been deleted from the system.
