Finger enabled on a router interface

A security sweep detected finger being enabled on a 7500 series router. I can find no indication that finger has been enabled. Neither of the commands

services finger or ip finger are configured. Are there Rev's of code that turn this on by default?

The finger service is enabled by default in older versions of IOS and will not show up in the config file. Starting in IOS version 12.2, the default for this service is disabled. You can manually disable this server by using either no service finger or no ip finger.
