FirePower License Transfer

I have an ASA-5508 Firewall with Fire Power Services.  Is it possible to transfer the FirePower Licenses to another Cisco ASA 5506 or any other ASA model.

The control licence is free, so you don't need to transfer that.

The other licences are based on the model of ASA, so you can not move them to a different model of ASA.

What about between like-to-like model such as ASA 5508 to ASA 5508

Hmm, if you are using the Firepower Management Centre I think that would work.  You could just remove one ASA 5508 and add another.

If you are using it as a standalone device then I would think you could only transfer the licence if the device failed and you got an RMA from Cisco.
