fixup for port 3306

I require to allow access for an application using port 3306 (IANA MySQL). I have fixed up protocol SQLNet 1521 and have also done a line for fixup protocol SQLNet 3306. The conduit statements are in place for the same ip address using ftp, telnet and icmp and all of those work but not the 3306. The PIX IOS is 4.4. Any ideas anyone...

To be honest you might want to try using a newer PIX code first. 4.4 is considered rather old. I’m fairly confident it used to only support the default port 1521, but you might want to call Cisco on that.

Excellent thanks for that. I'm in the process of upgrading the IOS at present. actually found the access problem was a bug in the third-party application but the third party found it easier to blame the firewall!!!

Hello,

You cannot/don't need to "fixup" MySQL connections. SQLNet is an Oracle only protocol.

BTW: You should really upgrade your PIX software.
