How to save password in Cisco VPN Client?

Hi,

I'm using version 4.8 to connect to my customer's VPN, I would like to save my password so that I do not need to enter it everytime.

I modified the pcf file to include:

!SaveUserPassword=1

and set my password in UserPassword=, but this worked only once, after I reboot it doesn't work anymore.

Then I see the method to use vpnclient.exe command line to connect and provide the password as command parameter:

vpnclient connect <group> user <user> pwd <password>

But I got this error when trying to connect:

User Password parameter failed. User Password is Read Only.

And the client still asks for the password.

Any ideas?

Thanks

The server sets the password save, you wont be able to save it locally unlessit is enabled server side. If the customer has an ASA, the following enables it under the group-policy for the VPN clients.

password-storage enable

You should permit "Save Password" on the Server.

What EZVPN Server do you have?
