NAC Profiler not profiling Cisco phones

Hi,

I'm having issues with the NAC Profiler profiling Cisco phones using CDP.

I've added the following CDP rules but none are matching.

CDP: /Cisco IP Phone/i [70%]

CDP: Cisco IP Phone 7961 [70%]

CDP: Cisco IP Phone 7960 [60%]

If I add a MAC rule this works correctly so I know the profile is working just not the CDP matching.  CDP is active on the switch and the phones are viewable via show cdp nei.

This is my first go with creating these rules so any help is appreciated.

Many thanks

Lisa

Lisa,

What version of profiler are you working with?

Just to provide a little more info, if you're running 3.1.0.24, you may be running into CSCtg50546, which is fixed in 3.1.1.  Basically, CDP profiling with Cisco phones will sometimes not work as expected.  If you are hitting this, you can either upgrade to 3.1.1 or switch to DHCP-based rules instead.
