PIX 501 With Cable Modem

I have Cable internet acces at home. THe ISP only provides IP addresses via DHCP - they will not approve static IP.

I have a PIX 501 that I would love to use at home - for many reason, like PAT, so I can use many computers to one IP.

1. Does anyone know of any how-to docs on setting up the PIX 501 to work with a DHCP IP from an ISP?

2. Will my Cisco IP Phone 7960 work over a VPN connection to Corporate HQ, from my home network, through the PIX 501? Keep in mind I am assuming I will have to use PAT...

Thanks everyone!

1. http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/iaabu/pix/pix_62/cmdref/gl.htm#1026920

Use the command:

> ip address outside dhcp setroute

then for your nat/global do:

> global (outside) 1 interface

> nat (inside) 1 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0

2. Should do, cause over the VPN you won't be NAT'ing the traffic. Set up either a LAN-to-LAN tunnel or use NEM mode EzVPN on your PIX. Config guides are available here:
