pix515 firewall hangs oftenly

I've installed a pix 515 firewall.Its working fine and sometimes it hangs. I heard that the batches built between may 2001 and oct 2001 were suspect and cisco issuing a recall. I suspect there may a hardware problem also.

That is correct. The bug I suppose you are looking for is CSCds19881.

Please read the field notice for this problem since it gives you the information needed to verify if your PIX was affected by this bug, if not, I seriously recommend that you contact the TAC to quickly isolate and solve the problem.
