Resons to use NAT

Dear all,

Can anybody tell me whether there is any bonus to using a NAT'd address over a valid outside address ? - other than to save on registered outside addresses.

I was wondering if there are any obviuos security risks in letting single workstations out of the internal network without any form of NAT rules in place ?
