Restrict PC's Wireless Access

Requirement: Restrict PC/Laptop from accessing ANY OTHER wireless networks but the ones that are permitted in CSA policy. (ex. Do not allow laptop to connect to neighbors open wireless network).

1) Is the above possible with CSA - if YES where can I find documentation.

2) Is the above possible with XP or Vista alone? (need details)

Thank you!

i think the better way to do is through Windows group policy

if you have a domain you can achive it from there

if not try local security policies

I suppose you could prevent wireless access from other networks either by a system state with a DNS suffix or you could only allow wireless communication on certain IP ranges.

Never tried it so not sure of the details (and you didn't specify which ones were allowed in your CSA policy).

If you have v 5.2, look up wireless in the online help. There may be other resources out there too.

5.2 also has a policy to prevent AD-HOC wireless communication. They can connect but can't do anything.
