I work for the a governemnt entity, I need to know how to clean a router of sensetive information. I know the procedure to delete the Config file but how do I ensure that the NVRAM is completely clear? Using the delete command gets rid of the file but as on a hard drive does it remove just the first character and leave the rest of the file there? And then some devices have hard drives, how do you verify that the information from those is completely erased. Any input or direction is greatly appreciated.
