Strange TFTP Problem

Hi,

I'm having this strange TFTP problem when trying to upgrade PIX image via boot monitor mode.

I never had this problem before, only today.

I did follow the steps, press ESC, enter address, server, file, interface 0, ping server successfully.

But when I issued the tftp command to initialize the transfer, it just timeout...

I turn trace on, and try tftp:

<3><3><3>....<7><7>...then hundreds of <5>s

I've tried the following method:

- Direct cross cable connection between laptop and pix

- Dedicated switch for laptop and pix

- Use different interface on the pix.

- Different laptops, cables

- Try on 3 Different PIX 515, same results

The funny part is, I was able to tftp transfer into the pix this morning but since It takes too long, I decided to cancel it and work on the configuration first and worry about os upgrade later.

The main reason why I need to perform this is to enable DES on my secondary failover pix since the primary pix DES has already been enabled last month.

Correct me if I'm wrong here...

I believed that both PIX must be 100% identical in order to successfully implement Failover/HA mode.

Many thanks for any help.

I Managed to solve the problem,

Previously I didn't input the commands in order like the following:

interface 0

address xxx.xxx.xxx.xx

server xxx.xxx.xx.xx

file pix613.bin

ping xxx.xx.xx.xx

tftp
