I like to log everything to a Kiwi syslog server for my PIX 525 running software version 6.1 (1)

Here is the commands I am using with the output, but don't see to work. Am I missing something?

Syslog logging: enabled

Timestamp logging: enabled

Standby logging: enabled

Console logging: disabled

Monitor logging: disabled

Buffer logging: disabled

Trap logging: disabled

History logging: disabled

logging on

logging timestamp

logging standby

logging host inside 10.3.254.1

Thanks,

You need to make use of the logging trap command so that the firewall knows what traps to send to your syslog server.

You have to enter what type of event you would like to log.

logging trap

If you look at above.....Trap logging: disabled (You need a level here)

If you are using the PDM goto:

System Properties=>Logging=>Syslog

There you will find everything you will need. This is only if the syslog server itself is config'd properly.

Hope this helps.
