Upgrading IDS MC Signature

Hi all,

i've installed new IDS MC over new server and now i want import sensor device.

I created subgroup, but when i try to import the sensor, after few minutes an error is prompted becouse i have to update IDS MC sig.

How can i update it??

How can i see what is the version istalled on IDS MC??

to find out what version(s) you have installed on your vms server, you can add a dummy sensor.

do the following in ids mc:

devices>sensor>add, click next

(this info doesn't matter, as you will cancel, after you have the version info)

ip address: 1.1.1.1

sensor name: sensor

userid: cisco

password: cisco123

Next....

on the identification page, look at the latest signature available in the drop down. this is what has been applied.

you can just cancel this after you have the version.
