VPN client 4.6.00.0049 setup

When I try to install the VPN client the process is alway interrupted by following message:

Install DNE

Error: Dneinst execution error while installing DNE, returncode -2146500093.

(I have windows xp)

Can anyone plz help me?

Try re-installing the VPN Client software using the Install Shield method.

I had this problem until I changed the value of the DevicePath key in the registry.

The DevicePath key is located under: HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\

The DevicePath key type is REG_EXPAND_SZ and for a successful install the value should be "%SystemRoot%\inf" without the quotes. I had additional paths listed which I removed. Also, you may want to backup the value of this key before you change it and once installation successfully completes you can try changing it back to the original value.
