I have a Cisco 7609 box with 2 SUP cards with IOS c7600rsp72043-advipservicesk9-mz-122-33.SER3.bin.
I want to downgrade it to IOS image c7600rsp72043-advipservicesk9-mz-122-33.SRE2.bin
I have downloaded the SRE2.bin image into sup-bootdisk and slavesup-bootdisk of 7609 and changed the boot sequence with following command
boot system sup-bootdisk:c7600rsp72043-advipservicesk9-mz-122-33.SRE2.bin.
I did wr mem and reloaded the router.
Router went into rommon mode. After booting the router with boot command the router came up with SRE3.bin image(older image).
Config register of the router is 0x2102
what could be the problem and how to resolve ????
