BGP AS Number Change in ISP

Hi All,

I want to know what would be the procedure/steps and consideration while changing BGP AS number in ISP network.

Overview:

Currently the network in using AS number xxxx for BGP configuration, I want to change AS number from xxxx to yyyy.

Current AS number in bgp configuraion = xxxx

News AS number in bgp configuraion    = yyyy

Please guide me what steps should I follow as this is live network.

you have a BGP neighbor for your up link connection, first of let they know, and at the same time you will change the as number and the upstream provider will change the as number of neighbour
