Cisco ASR1001-X licence question - FLSA1-1X-2.5-20G and CGN

Hello,

can anyone explain to me if licence FLSA1-1X-2.5-20G (upgrade to 20G) activates the built-in 10G ports? I configured on CCW an ASR 1001-X

and CCW says this "FLSA1-BIN-2X10GE-P is incompatible with FLSA1-BIN-1X10GE (CE100009)".

Also, what is the max. number of CGNAT session with 1001-X and 20G licence?

Hi!

For any 2.5G to 20G upgrade, the 2x10G built-in ports (FLSA1-BIN-2X10GE-P) are already included. This is way CCW is giving you the error.

I also have a question regarding licensing on ASR1001-X

If we buy license: L-FLSA1-1X-2.5-10G, do we automatically get unlocked one 10G port?
Or we must buy additional license: FLSA1-BIN-1X10GE

No, only with the 20G licence you will get the 10G port licences.

ASR1001-X bulit-in 10GE ports are turned on using port-based licenses. However, if the ASR1001-X is upgraded to 20G, then the two built-in ports are automatically included. Please see Table 37 for the Product Numbers of the port and throughput licenses.

However it doesn’t say same for  10GIG license
