Hi All,

I've combed through reference and config guides but cannot find documents pertaining to the following command under isis:

nsf advertise-holdtime

Does anyone know exactly what this does?

Thanks

"Interval during which holdtime for an adjacency with a recently

restarted router will NOT be refreshed based on holdtime in IIH-RR"

The default value is 5 minutes.

What this means is that if "nsf ietf" is configured on a neighbor, we

will help them by maintaining an existing adjacency across a restart the

first time they restart. If they restart again within the skeptical

timer interval, we will ignore the holdtime advertised in any IIH-RR -

which will allow any existing adjacency to time out. This will result in

loss of connectivity to the restarting router and cause other routers in

the network to NOT use that router for transit traffic.
