License Transfer procedure for RMA'd equipment

As a result of the clocking component failure, we have to replace a number of 4331 routers. What procedure do I follow to transfer the existing software licenses from the equipment being RMA'd to its replacement device? Thank you.

Hi
You can open a Cisco TAC case to re-issue a license for the RMA'ed part. You cannot use the same license on the RMA'ed part since the license is generated based on the S/N. Since the RMA'ed part has a different S/N than your old part, the license will not be applicable. Though license support team can re-issue another license for the RMA'ed part.
Thanks

Hi Vinit,

I got my customer license re-hosted by TAC but now I am not able to install that on the new router. It's not accepting the command "license install". I saw that "Smart Licensing is ENABLED" but neither the command "no license smart enable" is available.

I idea of how to fix that?

Thanks
